The speculation all seems to revolve around the band’s recent album and TV triumph Sonic Highways which saw the Foo Fighters record each song in a different city with local musicians. Dave Grohl has previously teased that there will be another season though the specifics have not been revealed.

According to a blog post, the “big announcement” could only possibly mean a new album, the announcement of “Sonic Highways 2”, an extend tour along Route 66, an Asian tour, return to Glastonbury, Dave being excited about Fibonacci day or the day the singer removes his cast. November 10 marked the one year anniversary of the album’s release, so an expanded effort is something the band could be plotting, as is commonplace with a lot of acts whose albums have generated any sort of success and have started to see the sales start to fall back a bit. Framed with a picture of a dog-like sculpture sitting atop a bannister, it’s is counting down to November 22.
The frontman broke his leg earlier this year during the band’s worldwide tour when he fell from stage, Entertainment Weekly reported. There’s also ambient noise playing in the background, the type you would hear in an building’s lobby or in a small cafe.

Another theory deducts that the band will announce a brand new studio album – this is technically the same theory, since the band’s innaugural HBO series was centered around an album of its same name.
