What Bihar Deputy CM Tejaswi said about his inexperience

Terming the important positions given to Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav ” s two sons-Tej Pratap Yadav and Tejaswi Yadav as “son rise”, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday said this “son rise” should not become the cause of “sunset’ of governance in Bihar”.

RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son Tejashwi took the oath as the new Deputy CM of Bihar.

JD(U) minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav who held finance in the outgoing Nitish Kumar cabinet, will look after energy now.

RJD had won 80 seats in the Bihar poll followed by JD(U) 71 and Congress 27 totalling 178 in the 243-member Legislative Assembly.

The newly appointed deputy chief minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday broke his silence over his criticism and said that no one should judge a book by its cover.

The chief ministers are Mamata Banerjee (West Bengal), Arvind Kejriwal (Delhi), Tarun Gogoi (Assam), P.K. Chamling (Sikkim), O. Ibobi Singh (Manipur), Nabam Tuki (Arunachal Pradesh), Virbhadra Singh (Himachal Pradesh), and S. Siddaramaiah (Karnataka).

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has also received the invitation from Nitish, will not attend the oath-taking ceremony but he will be represented by Union ministers Venkaiah Naidu and Rajiv Pratap Rudy.

Lalu’s younger son Tejaswi Yadav takes oath as minister. This is the fifth time that Nitish is taking oath as Chief Minister.

A galaxy of leaders drawn from different parties, including Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and former prime minister H D Deve Gowda, attended the ceremony giving rise to the possibility of the formation of an anti-BJP confederation at the national level.

He entered the Lok Sabha in 1989 and went on to win five parliamentary elections from Bihar as his popularity soared.

Governor Ramnath Kovind will administer the oath of office and secrecy to other council of ministers belonging to RJD, JD (U) and Congress parties.

“There is lack of consensus among the partners over the deputy CM’s post though the earlier NDA government led by Nitish Kumar had one”.

Even his staunchest critics acknowledge that under Mr Nitish Kumar’s leadership, Bihar has improved its performance across nearly social and economic indicators in this past decade.
