What did you think of…Deadpool?
It’s hard to believe that one of Marvel’s hottest properties – Deadpool, has taken this long to get to the silver screen.

Fabian Nicieza and Rob Liefeld created Deadpool as possessing an often non-superheroic attitude, making him a unique figure in the Marvel Universe.
The film stars Ryan Reynolds as the foul-mouthed merc, with Morena baccarin playing his love interest. He also tells us what it’s like being a dad.
Reynolds is now busy promoting the newly released film, DeadPool.
Ed Skrein as Ajax, Wade’s nemesis is far from fear-provoking, but it is Gina Carano as his assistant, Angel Dust who steals the show with her grit and power. Only now, however, do we know that it is officially becoming a reality.
Deadpool returns in his bathrobe to tell us a new character, Cable, will be in the sequel.
“I definitely think very savvy fans will recognize some of my character from the comic books”, he said. It has everything that shouldn’t be in a comic superhero movie and that is why it’s a good time. From gratuitous sex, violence, swearing and drug references, not to mention the character’s trademark breaking of the fourth wall, it’s all here – and you know what, it’s a breath of fresh air.
Deadpool does something pretty miraculous; it’s able to hide a pretty straightforward superhero origin story inside a ridiculously inappropriate and entertaining action film. And while Vanessa might have a scene where she pegs Deadpool, this doesn’t make her a stronger character who’s different from what we’ve seen before either as she doesn’t really have much to do beyond looking lovely, and becoming a damsel in distress. The writers can completely miss the point of certain characters or shoehorn in a love interest out of nowhere and then just outright kill the love interest for added angst.

The very un-family friendly movie sees Reynolds play an X-rated superhero who hunts down those who left him disfigured following an experiment gone wrong. TJ Miller (Weasel) puts in a quality performance as Wilson’s friend, and even the handful of X-Men – Stefan Kapicic (Colossus) and Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead) – fill their roles as they should, and provide a set up for more than a few jokes. Ultimately, Deadpool feels like the ultimate date movie for your bromance. It will offend you and make you laugh and that’s not so bad. “This movie really is made by fans for “Deadpool” fans, both new and old”.
