What does Black Lives Matter hope to accomplish?

The Fort Worth Police Officers Association called Black Lives Matter “an organization that chooses to MURDER American law enforcement officers” over the weekend.

That protest, and others across the United States, Britain and Canada, were held in response to the deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile at the hands of police officers last week.

“It’s inherently racist because, number one, it divides us”.

‘I couldn’t help but wonder if it had been me, a black man, a black cop, on TV, assassinated, laying on the ground dead, .would my friends and family still think black lives mattered? The Black Lives Matter protesters crossed the street and joined forces with the counter-protesters. In case you’re unconvinced, here is what Mr. Giuliani on Sunday said he would tell a young son, if he were black: “Be very careful of those kids in the neighborhood and don’t get involved with them because, son, there’s a 99 percent chance they’re going to kill you, not the police”.

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani stepped up his sharp criticism of Black Lives Matter on Monday, saying he saved “a lot more black lives” during his time in office than the movement.

“These killer cops been killing our Black Men and Women every day and getting away with it”, reads the post, which has since disappeared from Facebook.

“It tries to marginalize Black Lives Matter”, Washington said.

However, others are more supportive of his sentiment.

“To save lives, that’s all what we are calling for”. They talked about how they both want what’s best for Dallas and the people that live there. Some critics say the group incites violence against police officers, and chooses their outrage selectively, staying silent about black on black crime. Which is great for me because I don’t like making three stops when I’m shopping. “He is attempting to distract us from addressing the serious issues of police violence and this country’s legacy of racism against black people”.
