The figures, released today, say Liverpool paid £14.3m, Manchester United £13.8m, Manchester City £12.4m, Chelsea £11.9m and Arsenal £11.3m.
The overall total for all 20 Premier League clubs in that 12 month period adds up to a colossal £129,857,560.
This is unlikely to go down too well with fans after the Merseyside club missed out the big money Champions League places under Rodgers last season. The Dorset club paid around £8m to bring in record signing Tyrone Mings from Ipswich, while Max Gradel cost in the region of £7m from St Etienne.
This afternoon the Premier League published details of its clubs’ payments to agents since October 1, 2014 and September 30, 2015 which revealed the Hornets have paid £1,620,229 to agents.
This period included 172 inbound transfers and loans in the Premier League and 542 new or updated contracts.

In contrast, Championship clubs spent a combined total of £26.1 million, League One clubs £3.2 million and League Two just £1 million. The following year, Cherries spent £709,231.
