What’s next for Trump and Clinton after wins in NYS

Brian Westrate, chair of the GOP for the 3 Congressional District told JS-online, “I didn’t vote for Trump”.

Brian Jack, national delegate director for Trump, highlighted Trump organizers’ efforts to encourage more national delegate volunteers while attending each county Republican convention across New Mexico. Early returns were inconclusive. Look for a repeat of Saturday’s pro-Cruz maneuvers at the state Republican convention June 3 and 4 in Augusta when the list of delegates and alternates will be completed.

As New Yorkers head to the polls Tuesday, another battle is brewing to select the delegates to represent them at the GOP’s national convention this summer. Two of the three 2016 Republican candidates – Texas Sen. Five states hold primaries next Tuesday – Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Connecticut, and Rhode Island – and Cruz and Kasich have already begun campaigning in those places. “This is the year of the outsider”, Cruz said.

For those not in the loop, Hannity confronted Cruz about how he’s reaching out to delegates in ways that Trump supporters are up in arms about.

Kasich, speaking at a town hall Tuesday in Annapolis, Md., predicted a “deadlocked” convention that would give him a chance. Or even a “white knight” such as House Speaker Paul Ryan (who made clear last week that he does not want the nomination)?

The memo suggests that Trump’s campaign “scares the hell out of [the RNC]”.

Trump’s chief rival for the nomination, Texas. Sen. He appeared especially troubled by the results in Colorado, where Cruz swept all of the delegates there at the state’s Republican Party convention. Trump also leads Cruz among male voters 42 percent to 35 percent. But when party officials picked their delegate slates, most of the slots when to GOP volunteers and long-time activists.

To put these numbers in context, the total amount raised by the Republican presidential candidates combined is $193.1 million, according to the New York Times, slightly more than the amount that the Republican Party has raised, with time left over until the RNC meets in Cleveland, Ohio for the Republican National Convention in July.

Trump’s top aides were set to deliver a private briefing to RNC members Thursday afternoon outlining his path to victory.

Cruz responded that the “only people asking this question are the hardcore Donald Trump supporters”.

His New York numbers are strong enough that his supporters are likely to argue he would shatter an otherwise ossified political map between red and blue states in the general election. Or Gov. John Kasich. Jackson said he is not committed to any particular candidate. “OK, a lot too far right”.

Trump didn’t correct himself, but his spokeswoman Katrina Pierson told CNN on April 19: “Well, I think after you’ve done several events, over a short time period, people misspeak all the time, slip of the tongue”, notes CrooksandLiars.com. “I am for the wall on the Mexican border”, Juston said. “I think that is the goal of being uncommitted”.
