Black Friday is now just two weeks away, and ahead of the shopping bonanza, yet another retailer’s lineup of deals has now emerged.

Best Buy is offering good prices on a variety of tech goods.

Recreational Equipment Inc., or REI, took it a step further with plans to close on Black Friday as well. Online deals will start at 12:01 a.m. Pacific time on Thanksgiving, while all in-store deals will be available once stores open that evening.

Thanksgiving weekend sales in 2014 apparently plummeted by a total of 11 percent compared to 2013’s figures, and that might be why retailers have been upping their game in terms of deals they can offer, as well as shopping comfort and ease.

The sporting goods store made a splash this year when it announced that it would stay closed on Black Friday. Apart from that, Walmart is also implementing in-store maps that help one to find and locate the deals, crowd management plans and safety plans.

Target will be offering different discounts every day, beginning the Sunday before Thanksgiving and shoppers will also be able to pre-order doorbusters. This year, Walmart will release all their in-store items at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

The concept of Black Friday “door busting” is a bit of a bust itself this year, with many retailers instead stretching out promotional prices, starting well before Black Friday and keeping prices low well after.

Best Buy: Open on Thanksgiving from 5 p.m.to 1 a.m., Open on Black Friday at 8 a.m.

Dell, Levi’s and Target are also offering great online deals with free shipping.

Macy’s has announced in a separate press release that most of its stores will be opening at 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 26. though hours may vary at a few stores.

About 96 per cent of store deals offered on the holiday will be offered online, starting at 3.01am Eastern Time on Thanksgiving Day, and in stores starting at 6pm. There is only one doorbuster event. These days, 32 inches is on the small side for a TV set, so those looking for a bigger model can feast on the 55-inch version, which also features a 1080p display, for just $348.

The average per-person spending this holiday is expected to hit $805.65, only slightly higher than last year’s $802.45, according to the National Retail Federation.
