Polling stations open at 7am and you have until 10pm to vote. This will tell you how, where and when to vote.
However, you do not need to take your poll card to the polling station to vote. Otherwise you can just give them your name and address and they’ll check it against the list.
Who will be the county’s Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) is but one of the decisions Brentwood voters were faced with today.
If you have a visual impairment, you can ask to see a large print ballot paper or you can ask for a special voting device that allows you to vote on your own in secret.
Voters with a disability are also being reminded by the Electoral Commission that there should be no barriers to them casting their vote on 5 May.
Where do I go to vote?
We’ll leave that up for you.
Here’s everything you need to know. The Electoral Commission has produced a factsheet for disabled voters in partnership with Mencap that includes information on the support available at polling stations.

When you arrive at the polling station, there will be people sitting at a desk with a copy of the electoral register. You should ring 0333 103 1928 directly to ask about this.
