What Time Does Hillary Clinton Speak at the Democratic Convention?

But on Thursday, the final night of the convention’s run, comes the moment we’ve all been waiting for: Clinton herself will take the stage to close out the gathering with a speech to mark her official acceptance of the Democratic presidential nomination. “From Baghdad and Kabul, to Nice and Paris and Brussels, to San Bernardino and Orlando, we’re dealing with determined enemies that must be defeated”, she said. “Like so much else, I got this from my mother”, Hillary said.

The website did find examples of Trump ties, suits and furniture made overseas where Clinton claimed, but it should be noted that some other Trump products are in fact made in the USA, including his signature “Make America Great Again” baseball caps. “We say, “We’ll fix it together”. “Your cause is our cause”, she said, although boos were audible at points in the speech.

Throughout her convention speech on Thursday night, Clinton was repeatedly heckled by left wing supporters of Bernie Sanders, who were chanting anti-war, anti-trade, and anti-Hillary slogans. That is the story of America.

“Anyone reading the news can see the threats and turbulence we face”.

“He wants to divide us – from the rest of the world, and from each other. Yes, America’s destiny is ours to choose”. The most powerful validation came Wednesday night from President Barack Obama, her victorious primary rival in 2008.

Dwayne Heisler, 52, a Sanders supporter from Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, said he owns a collection agency and sees first-hand the anger and frustration of voters who blame their situation on global trade in the way Trump does, rather than as the result of globalization or advancing technology. Clinton’s name has been met with boos and jeers from die-hard Sanders supporters, and Bernie or Bust protesters continue to surround the convention hall.

They included Khizr Khan, the father of Muslim soldier, Capt. Humayun Khan, who died while serving in the US Army in the years that followed the September 11 attacks in NY.

The self-reported net impact of the GOP convention was also negative. They announced their intention to vote for Clinton and urged other Republican voters to join them in doing so.

Speeches by Obama and others have been a dramatic departure from those given last week in Cleveland, with a wildly gesticulating Rudy Giuliani expounding about Benghazi, and Gov. Chris Christie conducting a mock trial convicting Hillary Clinton of foreign policy “crimes”.

The Republican nominee has urged US allies to “pay their fair share” as he promotes his “America First” policy that prioritizes USA interests in any domestic or foreign policy decision.

Mrs Clinton has admitted in the past she is “not a natural politician” but her speech tonight (local time) will be crucial if she is going to kick start her head-to-head campaign with Mr Trump on a positive note and get the post-Convention poll boost candidates traditionally enjoy.
