What time does the EVO 2016 Street Fighter V top-8 start?

He came, he saw, he kicked some ass: South Korea’s Lee “Infiltration” Seonwoo won last night’s Street Fighter V tournament at EVO 2016, beating Keita “Fuudo” Ai in the final.

L.I. Joe eventually went out at the losers semifinal stage to fellow Nash player Atsushi “Yukadon” Fujimura.

Infiltration did just that as he swiftly handled Fuudo, 3-1.

Infiltration, who came into Evo as favourite after a raft of Capcom Pro Tour victories earlier in the year, must now be considered the greatest Street Fighter 5 player at this early stage in the fighting game’s life. There were over 5,000 players for Street Fighter Five, a sold out venue at Mandalay Bay, over 200,000 viewers on Twitch, and it was also televised on ESPN2 with live broadcasters for the match.

Joe was joined by his father at Evo – though Joe’s father’s attendance was a surprise to LI Joe until after his top eight win – and both were interviewed on ESPN to the sound of fans chanting “Daddy Joe!”

Evo ends tonight, who will be the ultimate Street Fighter V champion?
