It would plunge Democrats into the kind of primary fight they have gleefully watched Republicans struggle to contain in the past year. Sanders is popular with liberals who are part of the coalition that Clinton will need to win the White House.

Though Clinton is clearly positioning herself as the more pragmatic candidate who could work with Republicans to pass legislation, most voters and politicians (Republicans included) have no expectation that the next president will be able to get any more done than President Obama has with the Congress of the last eight years.

Furthermore, creating even more echoes from 2008, Sanders has raised more individual contributions to his campaign than anyone in history. Students will have the opportunity to meet with Sanders and his campaign officials as well as with influential Black leaders in their communities.
CNN asked for Sanders’ medical records in 2015 but the Sanders campaign did not respond.
Also, Sanders performs better than Clinton against Trump in a general election match-up. In national polls, as The New York Times noted recently, Sanders has eclipsed Clinton’s once seemingly insurmountable lead. At the same time, the vast Clinton fundraising network promised plentiful resources.

But since their last presidential debate, North Korea detonated a hydrogen bomb, China’s economic tumult caused markets to plummet and there’s growing tensions in the Middle East, including the temporary seizure by Iran of US sailors. Sanders and Donald Trump have found success with nontraditional campaigns.
