“Only 24 out of every one million handsets were affected by the battery problem; Investigations are still ongoing, but we have chose to stop selling the phone and offer replacements as customer safety is our top priority”, he said.

UPDATE: A second Samsung statement said they are working with carrier partners to announce details of a United States product exchange program as soon as today.

Moreover, the company has officially declined to comment on any plan to recall its flagship phone, which has been the subject of online complaints from its customers who claimed that their devices had battery issues while charging and caught fire.
