What To Expect From Sherlock’s Victorian Special, According To Steven Moffat
Meanwhile, a report from Daily Mail reveals that Sherlockians will have a hard time to crack one of the clues in the “Sherlock” Victorian special, except if you can read Chinese. Now, series producer and writer Steven Moffat spills more details on what to expect in “The Abominable Bride“. As ever with us we’ve chosen several and there are loads of references. In that story, Dr. Watson makes reference to a case him and Sherlock Holmes worked on about a club footed man and his abominable bride.

In a previous interview with the Independent, “Sherlock’s” lead actors Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman disclosed that at first, they were not convinced on the Victorian concept.
We still don’t know for sure if the character Emilia Ricoletti is indeed the Abominable Bride in the special, or if it’s an irate Mary Morstan? Sherlock will have been off the air for nearly two years by the time that the latest installment will air on New Years Day 2016, but the novelty is bound to wear off sooner rather than later in the 90 minutes.
“I thought it was madness”.
“It’s great, it’s fantastic, but I haven’t actually seen it yet”, he said of the New Year special. Understandably, some of “Sherlock” fans also share Cumberbatch’s initial reaction.

“I’m always in a rush to get back”. “We can’t disguise the fact that we’re often filming it in cities or public places where people are going to take snapshots of us dressed in Victorian kit”. It will also get a theatrical release in more than 500 theaters in the US and the United Kingdom on January 5 and 6. The wait for new Sherlock is nearly over!
