What Trump and Clinton need to do to win
The image of Hillary Clinton standing on the world stage as the president of the United States tantalises Democrats who have just ended their convention in Philadelphia. “It set off alarm bells”, Clinton said, noting that the founding fathers in nearby Independence Hall created the US form of democracy. Clinton cleared it by so much she couldn’t have looked down and seen that the bar was there at all.

In contrast, a Roll Call review of 22 speech transcripts of the GOP elected officials who took the podium in Cleveland found 135 mentions of Clinton and only 86 of Trump.
The final night of the Democratic National Convention highlighted Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s commitment to public service, as well as the sacrifice of American soldiers and immigrants. That was the most of any speaker.
Campaign spokesman Nick Merrill said the newly-disclosed breach affected a Democratic National Committee voter analysis programme used by the campaign and other organisations.
“It’s been a year and nobody has given me a reason why we should embrace a trade deal”, he said.
“America is once again at a moment of reckoning”.
Clinton would excel at leadership, problem solving and bridge building, Lincoln said, adding, “She knows how to bring people together”. That is the country she is fighting for, she said.
“Imagine him in the Oval Office facing a real crisis”, she said. Under her dishonest plan: Taxes keep rising. For those who vote for me and those who don’t.
Alluding to Trump’s reality show, “The Apprentice”, Kaine said with Clinton, you have a “you’re hired president” better than a “you’re fired” Trump. Sure: but if you choose your son or daughter to deliver an important speech at a national convention, people are going to form some kind of judgment on his or her performance. “You put economic and social justice issues front and center where they belong”, Clinton said.
“I want to thank Bernie Sanders”.
The FBI’s investigation into Clinton’s use of a private internet server didn’t result in criminal charges, but it did appear to deepen voters’ concerns with her honesty and trustworthiness.
The event was meticulously created to craft her image as a caring grandmother tough enough to battle terrorists and unite a party still unsettled by a fractious primary process. What we heard was a deeply pessimistic vision of a country where we turn against each other and turn away from the rest of the world.
Mrs Clinton promised to be a president for not just Democratic party supporters, but also for Republicans and independents, some of whom have lent their support to her on the podium despite being from rival parties.
HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON: That’s – that’s the country we’re fighting for.
“It’s true. I sweat the details of policy (.) Because it’s not just a detail if it’s your kid, if it’s your family”.
“It is a great country and you’ve just made it a lot greater”, Kaine told Clinton, the Virginia senator recounted Friday morning on CNN’s “New Day”.

Clinton said Trump is offering America “empty promises” and what she called “bigotry and bombast”. Meanwhile, the Democrats actually had slightly more viewers for the first night of its convention than it did for the nominee’s speech, typically the highest-rated night of convention coverage. She said that what anxious President Kennedy during that very risky time was that a war might be started – not by big men with self-control and restraint, but by little men – the ones moved by fear and pride. The most powerful validation came Wednesday night from President Barack Obama, her victorious primary rival in 2008.
