What TV Channel Is the 49ers-Bears Game On Today?

“Like he’s going to start”, Tomsula recalled Monday. Obviously, you saw that Sunday, but we ve known that.

“It worked perfectly. Torrey did a great job tracking the ball in the air and using his speed to outrun everybody”, the 26-year-old quarterback added.

“Sometimes, looking at it from a different vantage point can do a world of good”.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Blaine Gabbert (2) celebrates a touchdown during the second half of an NFL football game against the Chicago Bears, Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015, in Chicago.

Gabbert is certainly showing he could be the right fit going forward for San Francisco, and vice versa.

Gabbert’s head understandably was spinning at the wild finish. “Especially in a game like that, a close one back and forth, coming down to the wire there at the end of regulation”. The No. 7 pick in the draft, the former West Virginia standout has spent the entire season on the physically unable to perform list because of a stress fracture in his left shin.

Jeff Rodgers went into his bag of tricks on the 49ers’ first punt of the game, sending Bryce Callahan back with Marc Mariani to return the punt. Zach Miller has become one of Jay Cutler’s favorite targets, as the backup tight end has caught four touchdown passes in the last four games.

Who knew Gabbert could run like he did down the stretch? He s a smart guy and he definitely knows from a study standpoint the tendencies of a defense. There was no halftime deficit here: It was tied at the end of each quarter throughout the game, showing the 49ers to be competitive throughout against a potential playoff team away from Levi’s Stadium.

The 49ers quarterback has since been placed on IR due to a torn labrum in his left, non-throwing shoulder.

One problem the 49ers will face in this game is the fact that they’re on the road.

Gabbert deserves to be in the mix though given his late game play. “But, we’re really excited about where he’s at and where he’s heading”. “Our guys did a tremendous job on both sides of the football, fighting through the adversity, playing clutch football and coming out with a victory”.

Unfortunately for the Bears, that work now must be geared toward next season because their already-slim playoff chances were minimized even more by this loss. So far so good, said Tomsula.

Run game returns to form: It was still tough sledding at times against a 49ers D-line that made some plays, but Matt Forte and Jeremy Langford got theirs in a rushing attack that had been dormant the previous two games. He’s moving along well. We’re really excited about where he’s at and where he’s headed. All three of those games were marred by mistakes and poor offensive displays. “The way he interacts with everybody, the way he handles the offense, all those things are good”.

NOTES: RB Carlos Hyde’s status remains unclear after he missed his fifth straight game with a stress fracture in his left foot. I’m not sure what the coaches and players can do to shake that, but it needs to happen quickly.

“We had this feeling a few games (where) we played well and fell a little short”, he said.

“I just got quick on both of them and rushed them, and hurried them”, said Gould, who turned 34 Sunday. The 49ers lost TE Vance McDonald (concussion), LB Michael Wilhoite (ankle) and LB Aaron Lynch (concussion) to injuries.
