What was in the DNC email leak?
Donald Trump got a post-convention gift Friday when WikiLeaks released a trove of hacked emails that showed Democratic National Committee leaders conniving against Bernie Sanders.

Schultz said Sunday she will officially step down from her position as DNC chairwoman after the convention concludes on Thursday, but in the meantime, Rep. Marcia Fudge of OH, an avid Clinton supporter, is predicted to become the official chairwoman for the convention.
In Philadelphia, Wasserman Schultz refused to speak to reporters as she left the breakfast on Monday and watched the night’s speakers from a private suite filled with donors inside the convention hall.
The Florida congresswoman’s resignation is effective later this week, though she also stepped down from her official convention duties. The campaign also accused Moscow of trying to meddle in the US election and help Trump, who has said he might not necessarily defend North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies if they are attacked by Russian Federation.
“I don’t think she is qualified to be the chair of the DNC not only for these bad emails, which revealed the prejudice of the DNC, but also because we need a party that reaches out to working people and young people, and I don’t think her leadership style is doing that”. “This afternoon, I called her to let her know that I am grateful”. Some delegates, apparently disappointed supporters of her primary rival, Bernie Sanders, jeered and waved signs reading “Thanks for the ‘help, ‘ Debbie”, and more simply, “E-mail”.
It also overshadowed preparations in Philadelphia for Clinton’s coronation as the nominee to face Trump in the November 8 presidential election.
“[Wasserman Schultz] was never an honest broker in this process”, said former top Martin O’Malley aide Lis Smith.
“When you have people who dedicated a life of service, the least we can do is honor them without booing them”, Dillon says, insisting that Monday’s boos came from “a very small smattering of people”.
Another exchange involves a discussion on whether to move Maryland ophthalmologist Sreedhar Potarazu from sitting beside President Barack Obama at a DNC event after National Finance Director Jordan Kaplan said he gave less money than Philip Munger, another donor. He called the decision “the furthest thing from an olive branch to Democrats who are fed up with a system that doesn’t work for them”.
Brazile, who is a weekly contributor and political strategist on CNN’s “The Situation Room”, will be stepping away from her position at the news network effective immediately.
That’s what Elijah Cummings thinks of liberal supporters of Bernie Sanders who chanted an anti-trade slogan during the Maryland congressman’s speech at the Democratic National Convention. Schultz was the co-chair of her 2008 bid for president.
“I was obviously shocked to see my name in the middle of all of this because I’m just an innocent bystander”, he said.
Sanders issued a statement calling for a new direction for the party that would welcome the working class and young voters – and remain neutral in future Democratic primary contests.
At a time when Democrats have to be united to defeat an openly fascist Republican, one might have thought the eve of the Democratic National Convention would have revealed a concerted crusade for unity.
“I have no doubt that she is the leader we need at this time to keep our country safe, and I trust her with that most sacred responsibility of commander in chief”.
“If they think they can win without half the party, let them lose”, said Andrew Fader, 27, of NY, who was wearing a “Bernie” T-shirt on Sunday near the Liberty Bell.
Donald Trump’s stand on abortion has been inconsistent, but his running says Trump would be a “pro-life president”.
Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort said the Clinton camp was trying to distract from its party discord ahead of the convention.
Sanders has endorsed Clinton, but his delegates are pushing for a state-by-state tally.

“It was dead on arrival”, said Abby Dart of Ann Arbor, a Sanders delegate on the platform panel.
