What we learned Wednesday at Super Bowl 50 week
Carolina Panthers (and NFL All-Pro) linebacker Thomas Davis vowed almost two weeks ago that he wouldn’t let a broken arm and subsequent surgery keep him from playing in his first Super Bowl. This is just another opportunity for us to go out there and show what we’ve been able to do all year long.

To protect the forearm during Sunday’s big game, Davis will be wearing a 3D-printed arm brace designed and developed by 3D printing company Whiteclouds, reports CNet.
If coach Ron Rivera clears Davis to play while the fracture is still healing, products like this one could be used more widely to help athletes get back into the game more quickly.
“I know what he’s going to say when the game’s over, down the line, a couple of years from now, “Remember when I played with a broken arm”.
Now that the Panthers are in the middle of the Super Bowl whirlwind, Harper is the calm for the Panthers among the storm. “And [it] has been a challenge for the 12 years that I have been in the league playing against him and I don’t see it not being a challenge until he decides to stop”.
“I think he understands from being a former player that guys are playing their best when they are out having fun”, Allen said.
Stabler was someone who always had a “burning desire to be the best and win”, Flores told FNL. “I was like, ‘How did I get so far over here when I was way over there?”
“Knowing I’m very close to home and also where I played college football and where I met my wife, and having the opportunity to come back here now and compete in the Super Bowl is really a neat experience. I want to be on the field if I feel I can go”. “Even though we called them home games and they were our fans, from an operational, logistic standpoint, they were all road games”.
“It brings a guy who stays level when the excitement’s at an all-time high, letting us know that there’s more to do”, safety Tre Boston said.
“You’re disappointed as a player”, he said, “but at the same time, you know it’s not the end of the world”.
“I’m not just saying it, when I walked in the building, there was something different, from the moment I walked in the building”.
So much of Davis’ story as a football player has been about overcoming injury with those three ACL tears, it seems cruelly coincidental that as he’s now under the biggest spotlight of career he’s spent the whole week talking about yet another serious injury. That and one would think that he could become a liability on the Panthers’ defensive side of the ball against Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.

Broncos players said they did not expect Davis to be hindered. This is just another bump for him that he’s going to go right over.
