WhatsApp authoritatively dispatches its app for businesses in select markets

Instant messaging company WhatsApp just launched its WhatsApp Business app for small businesses. With 1.3 billion users, Facebook has been slow to monetize WhatsApp, but the account for businesses is an indicator it my be inching closer to making this happen. As stated, the WhatsApp Business app is now available for download in Google Play Store for free in India.

The free Android-only app allows businesses to create a profile with their information, send automatic replies to common questions and collects message statistics like the number of messages that are being successfully delivered and read.

Whatsapp maintains that the launch of Whatsapp Business will cause minimal change for regular people using the app-users can still block business accounts. Now that the app is officially out, here is everything you need to know about it. Over time, they will be given confirmed accounts once it’s been verified that the account phone number matches the business phone number. According to WhatsApp, 84 per cent of SMBs in India think that app helps them communicate with customers, which explains why the company is focusing on this segment. An application called WhatsApp has allowed workers to communicate more effectively, providing communication possibilities for anyone with an internet connection.

By joining the new network, businesses will be given special categorisation on WhatsApp as business accounts.

WhatsApp Business has a similar logo to conventional WhatsApp app, with a bold B letter replacing the phone symbol in its logo. All features available in the traditional app are available in the Business app too such as Status, Groups, Broadcast Messages, Video and Audio calls etc.
