Reported by German publication Macerkopf, the upcoming features were spotted in the WhatsApp for iOS beta, just like mentions and group invite links. The recipient will get album art with a music icon, a functionality which is not available now in shared audio files. It is unclear if WhatsApp will bring support for other music streaming services like Spotify, Saavn, etc. As we said, this build of WhatsApp is in beta right now; eventually these features will be available from the version of the Facebook owned messaging app available from the App Store and the Google Play Store.
