Mercifully, there have been encouraging signs that she is now on a more settled path.

Shortly thereafter, it was reported that she’d been partying at home when police showed up and found her and then-boyfriend, paparazzo Adnan Ghali, allegedly intoxicated in the presence of her sons, according to reports from the LAPD as reported by CBS News.

“I think the magnitude of it and the fame thing, I don’t think they’ve really comprehended what that would even be like”, Spears explained.

“I had a really bad date”.

On Sunday evening she made a triumphant return to the MTV Video Music Awards stage, performing her latest single “Make Me” with G-Eazy. “It was sort of awkward”. I liked him. He knew that. “But he definitely didn’t feel the same”, she revealed. It happens to everybody. Anxiety clearly took a toll on Spears’ career during her infamous mental breakdown back in 2007, where she shaved her head and attacked paparazzi with an umbrella.

She said: ‘Southern girls can be very hard on themselves because you are expected to act in a certain way, you are expected to please people.

‘I was so under scrutiny. Although Britney is the first to tell you that she’s in a much better place both personally and professionally now (catch her for a show in her Las Vegas residency before it ends in February), that wasn’t always the case. I was getting anxious, worrying he wouldn’t like me.
