When Does Daniel Bryan’s WWE Contract Expire?
People still can’t stop talking about the Daniel Bryan-Miz segment from Talking Smack last week. A return, though, would probably have to be years down the road, since Bryan is now under contract with WWE, serving as the general manager of “SmackDown Live”.

The Miz called Bryan a coward for deciding to stick with a non-action role in WWE opposed to leaving and going to wrestle for a smaller, independent promotion instead. He recalls getting frustrated to wife Brie Bella and threatening to quit WWE to work the indies but she calms him down and reminds him that they’re trying to start a family. I brought up the idea that he wrestled like a coward, and he knows I don’t like the way he wrestles, right? His retirement speech was heartfelt and moving, and no one held it against him that he had to cut his career short – well, except Daniel Bryan himself.
Bryan, who plays Smackdown’s general manager and Miz’s boss on TV, said the two planned to needle each other on “Talking Smack”, the live talk show that airs after “Smackdown” on the WWE Network every Tuesday, but the pair failed to specify to each other the points they planned to make ahead of time.
However, The Miz had no idea that Bryan was going to call him a cowardly wrestler, and Daniel had no idea The Miz was going to call him out on not returning to the wrestling ring after promising for a year that he was coming back. Yes!’ and I just sit in a chair and watch the match.
“If you were to ask me nine days out of 10, I would say, ‘Absolutely!'” Bryan said when asked if there’s a chance that he would ever have another match. A lot of times I’m trying to convince myself, too, that I can wrestle.

“I was cleared by a lot of concussion specialists”, Bryan said. There was one test that kind of flagged me, but then the more I learned about that test, the more I learned, ‘Hey, maybe that shouldn’t have stopped me.’ There’s a lot more than meets the eye to this situation. Bryan says there’s a lot more than we realize but he feels great and feels everyday like he can wrestle. Many had expected this to lead to some sort of in-ring comeback for Bryan, and while that’s still a long shot, he did have some interesting thoughts on the matter in an interview with former WWE personality Jonathan Coachman, for ESPN’s SportsCenter. In the past, when I haven’t had wrestling, I’ve always gone to nature.
