Netflix set premiere dates for nine new or returning series and announced three renewals Wednesday at the Television Critics Association in Beverly Hills.

Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson and Kelly Bishop are reprising their roles, as well as others from the original series, like Sean Gunn and Keiko Agena. Netflix said yesterday its keenly-awaited four-part Gilmore Girls revival, A Day in the Life, will be available for streaming on Thanksgiving weekend.

“Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life” will premiere on Netflix on November 25.

Gilmore Girls wasn’t the only upcoming series that Netflix released some key details about, however.

Last night on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the performer of politicized amusing things brought out another performer of politicized amusing things, and the two spoke funnily of things that are political…and, because politics just happens to be scary right now, scary. That’s incredible. I remember when she was so young.

When a reporter asked Sherman-Palladino whether another season could be a possibility, she didn’t sound ready to think about that idea just yet.

It’s been almost a decade since fans have heard new Lorelai and Rory dialogue. The show was canceled in 2007 with Sherman-Palladino no longer at the helm and several plot points not resolved. We also found out from actor David Sutcliffe, who plays Rory’s dad Christopher, the winning guy is not Dean.

At the panel, Lauren Graham said she had no trouble slipping back into her fast-talking character Lorelei.

And yes, Melissa McCarthy makes an appearance, and Amy Sherman-Palladino is having none of the gossip making those negotiations out to be nasty: “You know, we love her”.

That being said, Netflix has already stated that their Gilmore Girls reboot will be a limited revival.
