A woman claims she matched with Olympic swimming champion Joseph Schooling on Tinder – and is kicking herself for not replying to his last message.

Rio de Janeiro, August 16: Michael Phelps acknowledged Monday a “small part” in his own dramatic Olympic defeat by Singapore hero Joseph Schooling but said he had no grudge.
The 21-year-old Olympian is seen hugging his father, Colin Schooling, after landing in Singapore.
Sim was recalling Saturday’s showdown in Rio where Schooling built a big lead and won in an Olympic record of 50.39 seconds.
But when he has time to play, he says: “I like to hang out with friends”. I’m glad my son also showed respect. “He’s the reason why I want to be a better swimmer”. “That goes well with me”, he said.
“Mr Schooling has been exemplary in fulfilling the raison d’etre for his deferment – he trained hard and met all performance milestones on his way to Olympic glory”, the Council said in a statement. This marks the first gold medal for Singapore at this year’s Olympic Games, as well as the first gold medal in the country’s Olympic history (in the past, Singapore has won two silver and two bronze medals, for a total of five Olympic medals). Schooling competed at the 2012 London Olympics, and a year later the government agreed to defer his enlistment for three years to let him continue training in the United States for the Rio Olympics. Schooling has swum with the university’s swim team, the Longhorns.

“I came to support him because he’s friendly, approachable and very nice to little children”, Judy Eng said, recounting how her nine-year-old son was on the receiving end of one such swimming pep talk.
