Emiliano Grillo is in Rio ready for the Olympic Golf event, except his clubs are nowhere to be seen. Apparently American Airlines wasn’t quite as prepared as Grillo, as they have lost his clubs.

Emiliano flew on LATAM from JFK to Rio, MailOnline has contacted the airline for further comment.
The airline tweeted back – three hours later – that they “have a team of folks working on this for you, Emiliano!” At least he had a more pleasant experience with Domino’s.
The Argentinian is due to tee off in Rio on Thursday morning, but his preparations were hugely disrupted by the American Airlines mishap.
UPROXX.com perhaps puts it best by saying, “Not being able to golf because an airline lost your clubs would be an nearly impossibly cruel turn of events”.
In a set of tweets directed at American Airlines,AAL -0.26 % Grillo pleaded for help finding his golf bag, worrying that he is “going to miss playing in @Rio2016” because they can’t locate his clubs.

Until Grillo’s clubs are found – or until he officially misses out on the 2016 Olympic Games – all we can do is sit and wonder where in the world his clubs might be.
