Where’s Luke Skywalker? J.J. Abrams Sorta Explains the Jedi’s ‘Force Awakens

“I can’t wait for you to find out the answer”, Abrams told a reporter for the Associated Press at an event in Hollywood over the weekend (watch the video above). Well, unfortunately, J.J. Abrams has confirmed that there won’t be any new trailers for the seventh instalment to the beloved franchise.

While that did not exactly reveal too much considering how Abrams refused to divert from his “spoiler-lite marketing strategy”, it still made the headlines with the director revealing a few details about the film’s final cut.

“The Force Awakens” trailer that released during “Monday Night Football” has broken several records, as previously reported, but one noticeable issue was the absence of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill). Unlike the rest of us, he knows J.J. Abrams quite well.

However, the highlight comes when Star Wars creator George Lucas bluntly asks the filmmaker what exactly happened to Darth Vader’s grandchildren. Interestingly enough the actors who questioned Abrams did not ask about Kylo Ren being a sith or if any of the characters in the film were related to Han Solo and Princess Leia.

However, it’s also probably a good ploy from J. However, if fan want new footage they are going to have to wait until The Force Awakens arrives.

Although this might bum fans out a bit, this is actually great news. It got 112M views in 24 hours. The Star Wars fan that dwells within me is craving this game’s release on November 17, so I hope that it will live up to expectations.
