Ryan, asked about Trump calling Russian President Vladimir Putin a better leader than President Obama, said he had read a snippet of Trump’s comments, made Wednesday night at a candidate forum. I think at their very core, both men are the kind of leaders that have a core of humility, ‘ Pence said.

Ms. Conway also said Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s proposed “Russia reset” when she was secretary of state was a “disastrous idea”. “Because that would not be appropriate at all”. “What Larry King does with the interview content is up to him, we have nothing to do with it”, the spokeswoman said.

“It’s a war we shouldn’t have been in, number one”, Mr Trump said of the Iraq conflict in the RT interview.

During her remarks in Charlotte, Clinton also spoke about being a senator for NY during the 9/11 terrorist attacks 15 years ago, as well as her involvement, while secretary of state, in the us raid on Osama Bin Laden’s Pakistani compound that resulted in his death.

“And all of a sudden it doesn’t look as good as it did when you actually said it”, he added. He said Putin “has done so in many ways, in a very ruthless manner”.

Hillary Clinton criticized Donald Trump’s lavish praise of Russian president Vladimir Putin, calling the GOP nominee’s flattering remarks “reckless and risky”.

“Putin is violating the sovereignty of neighbouring countries”, Mr Ryan told reporters, when asked about Mr Trump’s comments on Mr Putin at the forum.

“Look, I think Vladimir Putin has done some bad things, and there’s been some speculation and conjecture of what’s taken place inside the Kremlin”, Lewandowski said.

He said that Putin has “very strong control” over Russian Federation and has been a leader, “far more than our president has been a leader”. “Maybe the Democrats are putting that out – who knows”, Trump said of the Clinton campaign’s accusations that Russian Federation is trying to rig the USA election in Trump’s favor. “The media has been unbelievably dishonest”. Mr King is a veteran on-air broadcaster who for many years had his own talk-show in primetime on CNN before he was forced out to make way for Piers Morgan, who has also now left the network.

While Trump has leveled similar criticism in the past, doing so on Russian television could draw more criticism from those who have questioned his overtures to Putin, including a number of Republicans.
