White House delays imposing new sanctions on Iran

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has issued an order calling on the country’s Defense Ministry to expedite efforts for boosting the country’s missile power as reports emerge of U.S. plans for imposing fresh sanctions on Tehran over the issue, Press TV reported. At that point, in line with another Security Council resolution, passed immediately after the summer’s nuclear deal, Iran will be “called upon” to refrain for up to eight years from any work on ballistic missiles created to carry nuclear weapons.
