White Sox beat Tigers, snap Detroit’s streak

He pitched six innings, giving up three hits and two runs while walking six and striking out seven.

The trade deadline is now part of the past without the Tigers partaking in any of the action.

Trout and Pujols each had three hits, and Andrelton Simmons two for the Angels.

Teixeira gave the Yankees the lead for good when he homered off Steven Matz (8-8) with two outs in the second.
