After it was confirmed that Sale was neither traded nor ill, the White Sox released a statement referring to a “clubhouse incident” that spurred the scratch.

While Sale is saying some of the right things, his actions have repeatedly shown the White Sox organization that maybe he doesn’t want to be on the South Side.
The incident does raise some questions in general about throwback uniforms, how players feel about them and whether they should be forced to wear jerseys that aren’t comfortable – particularly starting pitchers. “That’s get ready to play baseball and put everything I got into winning that game”, Sale told the website.
