Sale has been superb on the field with a 14-3 record and a 3.18 ERA.

CHICAGO – When White Sox ace Chris Sale returns to his team Thursday to face the crosstown Cubs at Wrigley Field, he’ll find a clubhouse a little happier than the one he left.

Since the White Sox wanted to wear the uniforms anyway, Sale took that as a sign that the team cared more about marketing than winning games.

Whether the Sox decide to trade Sale or not, this type of action clearly indicates his frustration with management as the Sox are heading for their fourth consecutive losing season. He then went around the locker room and did that to the jerseys of his teammates.

The incident comes with the White Sox in a tailspin after a 23-10 start and Sale’s name circulating in trade rumors.

“(The 1976 throwbacks) are uncomfortable and unorthodox. “For them to put business first over winning, that’s when I lost it”. Sale’s suspension concludes Wednesday.

Sale could otherwise be a model teammate, but that could be hard for Major League Baseball teams to get a grasp on at this point, especially when the best he has the offer as this point is “I have disappointment in myself”. Lefty Tommy Milone (3-2, 4.71) is slated to start for Minnesota.

That equivocation sounds a lot like Ventura admitting that sometimes he has to do what his bosses tell him, even if it compromises his team’s chance to win.

“Everybody wears a uniform that they don’t necessarily like, but you wear it”, Ventura said. “I’ve seen guys rip it up after”. The players instead wore more conventional, throwback white jerseys with no collar and no navy.

In a statement released Sunday, the White Sox cited violation of team rules, insubordination and destroying team equipment as reasons for the ban.

“Could there have been better communication before he took the actions he did… would that have changed anything?” “I don’t know for sure”.

‘Part of what makes Chris great, Chris elite, is his passion and commitment. We’ve seen that sometimes spill out from between the white lines. “(Saturday) was one of those instances and it unfortunately led to events that required discipline”. Don Schwall was the last, and he pitched only two seasons with the Red Sox and had just 15 career wins in the ballpark. That’s all you can ask for as a player. “That’s it”, Frazier said.
