None of the protesters suffered life-threatening injuries in the shooting.
Black Lives Matter Minneapolis/Facebook A video features white supremacists apparently preparing to visit a Minneapolis protest site.
Minneapolis police said Tuesday that they arrested three men in connection with the shooting. Protests by activist groups such as Black Lives Matter have become commonplace in USA cities.
“I attended Jamar Clark’s funeral today, and I join in the community’s mourning for Jamar Clark and for all of the Jamar Clarks who propel the protestors to demand meaningful change”, Ellison said.
Some at the funeral wore white T-shirts with “I matter” on the front or T-shirts with Clark’s photo, while others were dressed formally.
“I’ve been to too many funerals and I’m exhausted of it”, mourner Sheryllynn Wagner told reporters outside the church. “We believe the police department is facilitating the injustice, bullying the protesters”. Protesters say officers shot Clark in the head while he was in handcuffs. N., with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. “Any investigation, federal, state, or county into my officers’ conduct at the 4th Precinct during this time will only confirm the strength of the work my officers did protecting both public safety and the freedom of speech”.
The family requested no protests during the funeral, but the group says they aren’t going anywhere “until they get Justice for Jamar”. “Jamar, your life did and does have goal”, said Bishop Richard D. Howell Jr., a bishop at the Shiloh Temple. “Your death was not in vain!”
Some members of the Black Lives Matters movement suggested the shooting of protesters was racially-motivated. Vehicles in the procession honked their horns, and protesters shouted “Justice for Jamar”. Prosecutors have gotten more time to file charges. Police said three of the men are white and the fourth is Asian.
Protesters have rallied nightly outside the 4th Precinct police station near the scene of his death.
A Hennepin County District Court judge granted an extension until noon on Monday before the county attorney’s office has to make a charging decision. Authorities raided the man’s Bloomington home and seized a dozen weapons. When demonstrators tried to push them away, a scuffle and then the gunshots occurred.
Family members of 24-year-old Jamar Clark also asked for no protests on Wednesday as he is laid to rest.
Steven Belton, interim president of the Minneapolis Urban League, echoed those sentiments, saying protesters had achieved most of what they wanted, including the federal investigation and the names of the officers involved.
Belton said the vigil should end to “restore order” to the community, which he said has endured open gunfire, traffic and service interruptions, smoke from the protesters’ fires and hours of helicopter noise.
Pastor Jayme Ali of God of All Truth Church told The Associated Press there will be an “emergency rally” Wednesday, with MPR News noting a rally is planned at 4 p.m. Wednesday, with a similar rally set for the same time in NY City and some other locations.
“We are not going nowhere”. Clark was using crutches and says he will keep pushing for justice for his cousin, Jamar. The march from the Fourth Precinct started in the afternoon of November 24.

The protesters are demanding that video of the shooting be released from the investigating agency, the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. According to activists, the men were white supremacists had been coming to the protests and trying to intimidate those who were gathered. “We are asking gathered demonstrators to be vigilant and report any actions that may seem out of the ordinary”.
