Who Is Ahmet Dahmani? Suspected ISIS Scout Involved In Paris Attacks Arrested

According to a post on Reuters, Dogan news agency reported that Police arrested Ahmet Dahmani, a 26-years-old man from a hotel located in the southern coastal city of Antalya. Police also detained two other ISIL militants, Ahmet Tahir and Muhammad Verd, who were reportedly set to meet with Dahmani, along the Antalya-Alanya Highway.

During another raid by the French police, the target died in Saint-Denis suburb on Wednesday.

Gen. Vladimir Kolokoltsevs said in a statement late on Friday that along with his condolences over the deadly attacks he will send to his French counterpart a puppy so that it “could replace Diesel”.

French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said Abaaoud “played a decisive role” in the Paris attacks and played a part in four of six terror attacks foiled since spring, with one alleged jihadist claiming Abaaoud had trained him personally.

The resolution calls on member states to take all necessary measures in compliance with global law to “redouble and coordinate their efforts”.

In a public message, the crisis center advised the population of the Brussels region to avoid areas where large numbers of people gather, including concerts, major events, train stations and airports, public transit and commercial districts. These three persons includes a Belgian man who is a Moroccan origin who is suspected of being a scout for ISIS (Islamic State Group).

The Belgian capital was home to the suspected organizer of the November 13 Paris attacks, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, and Belgium has filed charges of “participation in terrorist attacks and participation in the activities of a terrorist organization” against three suspects relating to the Paris attacks. Officials could not immediately be reached for confirmation.

The increase in alert level for Brussels comes as authorities investigating last week’s terror attacks in Paris conduct raids in Belgium as they work to identify and take down the network of terrorists behind the carnage. The center announced on its website it had elevated the threat to Level 4, which indicates a “serious and immediate threat”.

Heavily armed police and soldiers patrolled Saturday morning at key intersections of the Belgian capital, a city of more than 1 million that is home to the headquarters of the European Union, the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation alliance and offices of many multinational corporations.
