Who Is Ray on ‘Mr. Robot’? Top Theories & Analysis

Something about the setup for the new season felt off from the get go, but it wasn’t until last night that Esmail finally revealed that Elliot hadn’t been living in Queens, but was instead situated behind bars in prison, using different coping methods to make himself believe he was back in New York City. He’s apparently been there since the season started; the daily program, living with his mom, meetings with Leon, group meetings … they all took place in the pen.

IGN: At what point during Season 1 did you know that she was actually Elliot’s sister?

When will Elliot see Whiterose?

Also helping Mr. Robot’s chances is the drama’s continued awards cache, which has been a boost for United States of America as it continues to push into darker, edgier fare.

Truth be told, this has been a bait-and-switch long in the making. This will be the last time I keep things from you. He’s just dead? I don’t buy it.

While the trip down memory lane was a fun episode to watch, the episode was quite disturbing considering Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) created the fantasy world in order for Elliot to survive the beating implicated by Ray’s (Craig Robinson) goons. Plus, the Federal Bureau of Investigation told Elliot to stay outside as they raided Ray’s house, so he may have went down for his affiliation with Ray’s organization. Fans are now speculating that he could have remembered killing or kidnapping Tyrell.

As for the other characters, hack the Federal Bureau of Investigation orchestrated by Angela Darlene work.

The ending of this episode can really grind some gears of the fans, but it does answer a few questions too.

According to Esmail, the decision to put Elliot in prison and show things from his altered perspective came from a “two-prong approach”. Now, Season 2 is nearing its destination, and they just dropped a huge bomb on us: This whole time Elliot Alderson was in prison.

Ray’s storyline also comes to a roaring finish this episode. When Dom sees that the agency was hacked, she tells them to check Angela’s computer though she doubts that they will find anything. While helping Ray set up the site, Elliot makes it public, and helps Federal Bureau of Investigation find Ray.

In episode 6, the talented hacker was seen pursuing his alter ego about Tyrell (Martin Wallstrom), who apparently was in the trunk of Elliot’s auto. Their accomplishments do not end there.

Let’s talk about Angela; she just can’t catch a break!
