‘Who the hell knows?!’ Trump teases IN governor as possible vice president

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee has been appearing at different events in recent weeks with some people who are believed to be the top Vice Presidential contenders, including former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Indiana Gov. Mike Pence.

Addressing a packed crowd at Grand Park in Westfield, Trump said Carrier “viciously” chose to move 1,400 manufacturing jobs from Indianapolis to Mexico. The 53-year-old Republican was once considered the front runner for the GOP presidential nomination.

Sens. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., and Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, have also met with Trump, but both have since withdrawn their names from vice presidential consideration.

Pence will be among the hosts at a private Trump campaign fundraising event in downtown Indianapolis on Tuesday. “We’re ready for Donald Trump”.

A few people we talked with were simply excited to see Trump in person.

“We’re ready to put a fighter, a builder, and a patriot in the Oval Office of the United States of America”.

“I’m getting attacked from all sides”, Donald Trump told the daily in the interview in which he called Christies and Gingrich “two extraordinary warriors”.

Though Pence is typically a measured speaker, his brief audition speech featured pointed attacks on presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

“I don’t know whether he’s going to be your governor or your vice president”.

“Remember this, and I say it once, and I say it with love, and I say it with compassion”, Trump continued, “. but I am the law and order candidate.

But he also has plenty of baggage as well.

Even some Indiana Republicans have questioned his decisions, suggesting Pence has at times seemed more interested in appealing to national conservatives than doing what’s best for the state.

If it’s Pence, he only has until 11 a.m. Region time Friday to withdraw from the IN ballot as the Republican gubernatorial nominee to run instead for vice president. After waves of pressure over the bill, Pence signed legislation revising the law to prevent discrimination against homosexuals.

Trump had planned to fly back to NY after a rally last night, but ended up spending the night at the Conrad Hotel in Downtown Indianapolis after his plane experienced mechanical problems, a source told the IndyStar.

Pence and Trump walked out of the residence together just before 10:30 a.m.

“That’s the most exciting I’d ever heard or seen the man”, said Lyle Enyeart, a Pence supporter from Warsaw.

Sliding into the traditional “attack dog” role of vice president, Pence said Democrat Hillary Clinton has disqualified herself from becoming commander-in-chief for failing as secretary of state to rescue USA personnel during the 2011 attack on the consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Trump said in a tweet that Ginsburg should resign.
