Who took home an Emmy Award?
Brown played prosecutor Christopher Darden in the drama about the murder trial of OJ Simpson.

Her words brought Clark to tears.
Courtney B. Vance won the Emmy for best actor in a limited series for the show The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.
“Glory to God”, Vance yelled before later dedicating his award to wife, actress Angela Bassett.
Jeffrey Tambor is the victor of the Emmy Award for best comedy actor for his role in “Transparent”.
Rami Malek, 35, who is of Egyptian descent, is a front-runner for his first Emmy for his lead role as a socially awkward computer hacker in USA Network’s Mr Robot.
“There’s a little bit of Elliot in all of us”, he said.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus of Veep received a record-breaking sixth Emmy Award as best comedy series actress, using her victory to take a dig at GOP contender Donald Trump in a ceremony loaded with election-year asides.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who broke down in tears after winning her fifth straight Emmy for Veep earlier in the night, had a Jennifer Lawrence moment, almost tripping on the way up the stairs for the second to last award. In her acceptance speech Ms. Louis-Dreyfus made a faux apology for the current political climate: “Our show started out as a political satire but now seems like a sobering documentary”.
“Veep” also won for outstanding comedy series.
The In Memoriam segment began with a tribute to producer-director Garry Marshall, who died July 19, from his “Happy Days” star Henry Winkler. Winkler said his former boss “had a generosity of spirit and knowledge”. “Momma! I can hear you!”
Backstage, “Transparent” creator Jill Soloway, who won best directing for a comedy series, criticized Trump for “other-izing people”. “He played O.J.so well I now believe Cuba may have done it”.
He later added, “I am not always been a very good man, but I play one hell of a woman”. “We have work to do”. Overall, television’s biggest night of the year proved to be an eventful one yet again.
Limited Series: “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story”.
“I never imagined my favorite TV mom would be Louie Anderson”, Kimmel, a Clark High School graduate, said, eliciting laughs.
There were plenty of O.J. jokes in Kimmel’s monologue. On the actress side, Sarah Paulson won for her portrayal of Marcia Clark, who was also her date.
“Did you know you could make $12 an hour working for Uber?” a game Bush said, smiling. “Marcia, are you rooting for O.J.to win this time?”
Matt Damon crashed the Emmys stage tonight, prolonging a more-than-10-year-long “feud” with Emmy Awards host Jimmy Kimmel.
It was her third win for playing the formidable dowager, but she didn’t attend the ceremony. It won for outstanding limited series and its cast scored in related categories. “If you’re a person of color – especially if you are a nominee – please find a white person”.
BEST: Matt Damon Heckles Jimmy Kimmel Damon and Kimmel are well-documented fake frienemies (see: Sarah Silverman’s “I’m F–ing Matt Damon”), and the running gag was used perfectly at the Emmys as the apple-chomping Oscar victor heckled the host for losing to John Oliver at his own show. “You’re a pretty big loser”.
“Put [her Twitter account] in your vault please,”Jones said. Meanwhile, I’m butt-naked on CNN”. Indian-American Aziz Ansari also is nominated for his new Netflix comedy “Master of None”.
Kimmel’s road to the Emmys was a tough one.
Her nod comes at a time when TV is being hailed for improved inclusivity – compared to the film industry – in both its recognition and hiring of minorities.
An emotional Brown went on to thank his father who the actor said “he changed what people called me at age 16 so I could hear your name every day of my life”.
“Thank you to the BBC who we love above all bakery. A closed mouth don’t get fed”.
In all seriousness (yeah, right) Kimmel asks everyone to take a moment to appreciate how far we’ve all come on the diversity front.

It wasn’t much of a surprise to hear Trump didn’t have many friends in Hollywood.
