Who Will Win at the 2016 Emmys? Cast Your Vote!

It’s hard to believe that the latest Primetime Emmy rendition is upon us, and yet, here we stand. The graphic and fantastical HBO series, which is based off of the book series by George RR Martin, just wrapped up its sixth season, and is more popular than ever before. GoT reached the end of his books and was faced with a decision, pack up shop or go rogue.

But the Packers-Vikings game isn’t the only thing of note on television Sunday.

Leading in overall numbers is HBO’s original series “Game of Thrones”, boasting 23 nominations total including nominations for outstanding drama series, as well as best supporting actor and actress for Kit Harrington, Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey and Emilia Clarke.

The rollout of the longest red carpet in Emmy history for the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016.

‘Mr Robot’ waiting in the shadows?

The company is helping change the way people watch television, he said. Rodriguez’s performance has critics and fans gushing about her charm, but she will have to wait another year to be recognized by the academy. There isn’t a person in the country who doesn’t like Julia LouisDreyfus, and the show’s droll tone toward a know-nothing in proximity to the White House plays with a special undertow in this campaign season. (In contrast to the Oscars, 21 black actors are nominated in various Emmy categories.) People tell me I have to give “Homeland” and Claire Danes another chance. Though not technically a pilot, the film is up for both Outstanding Television Movie and Lead Actress in a Limited Series.

In the battle of the networks, perennial favourite HBO leads the nominations, with a reduced tally on previous year but the biggest early success story has been Fox’s FX subsidiary, which got 56 nominations, a new record for a basic cable company. Veep has amassed critical acclaim and several awards already, and is already set to start filming for season seven. There’s a commitment and dedication that the theater program required that unearthed a work ethic I didn’t know I had. O J Simpson is nominated for the Emmys this year. It looks to be an absolute lock, although Fargo (+200) and American Crime (+600) were also able to turn some heads and garner a few other major nominations in the process. Only Rami Malek – the main star of “Mr Robot” – is up for a gong in the lead actor category.

Not to worry, though: If you’re looking to impress your dog when you flip to the 2016 Emmy Awards while the latest episode of “Rob & Chyna” is on commercial, I’m here to help. This could be his year. The Americans’ on- and off-screen couple Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys also will be competing for their first Emmys. Don’t be surprised if the 41-year old from Cardiff upsets the competition.

The betting favorite here is “Veep”, again. He is followed closely by Master of None’s Anziz Ansari (+250) and Anthony Anderson (+400) of Black-ish.

This category was really hard to choose. He said further, “I never feel any pressure about being nominated because, it would be great if we won, but I don’t think we’re going to win and I don’t really care if we win or not”. Following JLD is former Office star Ellie Kemper (+250). However, the sneakily feminist show and the comic styling’s of its refreshingly liberated character are still flying under the radar with no nominations this year.
