Dancing with the Stars professionals Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd are expecting their first child together. Nyle, too, stayed determined to rise above the rest all season, even in the face of sometimes unfair criticisms.
Nyle was one of my favorite “DWTS” contestants ever – he was full of heart and determination, and overcame a huge obstacle to win the Mirrorball trophy.
In the final routine, a fusion of several dance styles, Nyle and Peta received a ideal score for their cha cha/tango. Zee earned the first flawless score of the season. Ginger and Val scored 27 with their foxtrot/tango. It was followed by a jive/salsa to Thurston Harris’ Little Bitty Pretty One by Mark and Paige.
“That was a handsome way to end the season”, she said. While Ginger earned three 9’s, earning a score of 27 out of 30, the other two contestants received flawless scores from the judges.
While speaking with People, Chmerkovskiy explained that he wanted his celebrity partner to have the chance to do an improv and say thank you to the audiences and her fans.
DiMarco and Murgatroy, who were the highest-scoring team on seven different weeks of the show, worked out a system through which Murgatroy demonstrated moves at their intended speed and planted a series of silent cues into each performance.
Paige VanZant & Mark Ballas did a Salsa for their redemption dance that earned scores of 10-9-10. After his performance, judge Carrie Ann Inaba told Nyle that his Sound of Silence freestyle dance was the best performance she’s seen in all twenty two seasons of Dancing With the Stars.

The results put Ginger on the bubble and she was the first finalist eliminated. Only 2% of 70 million of Deaf people have access to education in sign language.

The judges’ scores and viewer votes from the last week and this week were combined. Peta has competed on nine seasons of DWTS, winning twice.
