“So if there is anyone who has ever deserved to be attacked that way, it has been Donald Trump, for the way he has treated people in the campaign”.
Trump repeatedly called Rubio “little Marco”, as the two continued their heated exchanges that started a week ago at the last debate.
Trump said he was modifying his position on the topic of visas for highly skilled workers, prized by the technology community, saying more should be allowed into the country. “He wants to be back in the game”.
There was no noisy celebration with supporters with drinks and balloons and Trump, who now looks a strong contender for the presidential nomination, opted to hold a press conference instead of a party at Palm Beach in Florida, said the Washington Post.
Marco Rubio, whom the brash billionaire will face off against during a debate Thursday night. He has done it about every candidate in this race.
Cruz and Rubio, who earlier had devoted considerable debate time to throwing sharp elbows at one another, were relentless in training their fire on Trump. “I will say this, these three gentlemen have been off the record with reporters and they honor it, I want to honor it”.
Asked whether they would support the eventual Republican nominee, Cruz, Kasich and Rubio all said they would, even while insisting they had not given up the fight against Trump. Are these small hands?
Trump also came up with a few nicknames throughout the debate – move over, Cisco Ramon! – including “Little Marco” and “Lying Ted”.
In fairness, Trump did not just burst out with the good news unprovoked.
And finally, Florida Sen.
It risks locking Trump’s opponents out of news coverage until the 9 p.m. debate hosted by Fox News begins.
Trump signaled he was ready for a truce.
It is increasingly unclear what party leaders can do to stop Trump, who has a commanding lead both in national polls and in the count of delegates needed to win the nomination. It was the first time Kelly and Trump shared the spotlight since August when she sharply questioned his history of making demeaning comments about women. Cruz has 231, Rubio 110 and Kasich 25.

The debate was the candidates’ first face-to-face gathering since Super Tuesday nominating contests this week give extra momentum to Trump but did not knock out his rivals.
