Who won the convention ratings war? Depends on who you ask
Becoming the first woman to win the nomination of a major political party, Clinton promised to be a president for “all Americans”, whether they voted for her or not.

However, not all Twitter maelstroms are created equal.
Clinton’s four-day convention began with efforts to shore up liberals who backed Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primary and it ended with an outstretched hand to Republicans and independents unnerved by GOP nominee Donald Trump.
HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON: I can’t think of an election that is more important certainly in my lifetime, and it’s not so much that I’m on the ticket.
The final night of the Democratic convention marks the only ratings loss to the RNC, after the DNC drew more viewers in each of the first three evenings. Whether this social media activity will amount to a significant convention bump remains to be seen.
While she soaked in the historic nature of her accomplishment, the 68-year-old Clinton spent much of the biggest speech of her career taking aim at her Republican opponent, slamming him as a fear-monger with no policy credibility.
SEN. TIM KAINE (D), Vice Presidential Nominee: And when Donald Trump is basically trying to encourage them to do it with respect to the USA election, I think an bad lot of people will see that and say that that is temperamentally disqualification for the office. That’s not the America I know.
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and Democratic vice presidential candidate, Sen. “But we are not afraid”, Clinton said. After a campaign rally at Temple University, the Clinton-Kaine bus tour will make its way through the battleground states of Pennsylvania and Ohio.
Her high-stakes remarks follow a rousing speech by US President Barack Obama, who said there had never been a man or woman more qualified than Mrs Clinton to serve as president.
“Does Donald Trump have the temperament to be commander-in-chief?” she asked. An estimated 9.4 million people watched Trump on Fox, the most popular network for Republicans, and Fox took out newspaper ads touting its first-place finish among those covering the convention.
Now Donald Trump says, and this is a quote, “I know more about ISIS than the generals do”.
She reached out to supporters of her rival, Bernie Sanders, who could be crucial to getting her over the line in November. “We will rise to the challenge, just as we always have”, she told the convention.

Trump was a punching bag at the Democratic convention in Philadelphia, which wrapped up Thursday night, as speaker after speaker – including some Republicans – said he lacked the temperament to be president.
