Why Adele Isn’t Streaming Her New Album on Spotify or Apple

We saw Taylor Swift initially hold back on Apple Music because it wasn’t paying artist royalties during trial subscription periods.

In a report by Telegraph, Adele officially revealed that she wouldn’t roll out her new album on Spotify and Apple Music but will be available on iTunes for a price.

Speaking on Sirius XM radio station in NY, she added: “Even the time making the record, the guilt”.

Mark Mulligan, Midia Research’s digital media analyst, told the NY Times that Adele’s decision not to release “25” for streaming service is a “minor issue” for the singer. As the anticipation builds for Adele’s new album, “21” and the singer’s 2008’s debut, “19”, are now No. 24 and 66 on Billboard’s 200 albums chart, respectively. I don’t feel like I have. However, Adele had been adamant in her stance that appearances do not affect her music.
