They say any publicity is good publicity, but when Under Armour unveiled the Curry 2 Low “Chef” sneaker this week -Stephen Curry’s latest shoe for the brand – the internet was quick to point out one fatal flaw: the new colourway fit more with the style of a middle-aged father figure than the first unanimous MVP in National Basketball Association history.
Maybe Curry can wear his new “fire” kicks for the victory parade? The company said they are inspired by how Curry “starts cooking” like a “master chef” when he goes on hot shooting streaks.
“I wish I had them in my road bag”. And yes, Crying Jordan made an appearance. Fans immediately panned the “Chef Curry” shoe edition with cruel jokes.
Curry, however, seemed unfazed by the critics during a post-game interview after Friday’s drama-filled Game 4 win against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
