Why Bernie Sanders Matches Up Better Against Donald Trump Than Hillary Clinton
We are exactly a week away from the Nevada Democratic caucuses.

Most candidates from both parties were focusing on SC, whose primaries later this month begin the critical race for southern voters.
The exchange underscored the degree to which Obama’s legacy has become tug-of-war between Clinton and Sanders as the Democratic race winds into Nevada and SC, where minority voters play a pivotal role.
Sanders does, in fact, have positions on a host of issues, including climate change, criminal justice and trade, but Clinton’s campaign argues that his routine pivot at debates and in town halls is to economic issues and Wall Street, not the substance of the issue.
Asked what kind of levers the Democrats have to get the Republican-controlled Senate to consider the nomination, Sanders said they could rally the American people.
He said Sanders had worked with Obama and Vice President Joe Biden “on major issue after major issue during the last seven years” and the senator was “very proud of the enormous accomplishments of the Obama administration”.
“I never saw him”, Lewis said. “He’s just making sure Americans are getting a better education”, he said.
“He does not support, the way I do, building on the progress the president has made”.
“He has called the president weak, a disappointment”, she said during a townhall meeting with voters.
Toward the beginning of Thursday night’s Democratic debate, Bernie Sanders had the ideal opportunity to tout that he would be the first Jewish president.
The candidates, overall, focused on their individual messages and didn’t direct attacks at the other.
Sanders has only fitfully gone back at Clinton when she’s gone after him, but he suggested Saturday that his patience is wearing thin.
In terms of readiness to take on the post of the nation’s next Commander in Chief, Sanders again fell behind as only 51 percent thought he was up for the job, compared to 80 percent who said Clinton is prepared for it. Democratic officials did not immediately say whether it was a mix-up or not.
On the foreign policy front, Sanders criticized Clinton for her warm relationship for Henry Kissinger, who served as secretary of state under Republican President Richard Nixon during the Vietnam War.
The frontrunner is leading with 65 percent support among the state’s likely Democratic primary voters, while U.S. Sen.
With the Nevada caucuses and SC primary looming, Clinton has been stressing her ties to the black community, touting endorsements like the one she’s received from Lewis.

Bad news for Clinton who had made much of the race about electability, the idea that the Vermont senator with the wild ideas lacked the experience and broad appeal to be a viable candidate in the general election.
