Why individuals are freaking out about this Starbucks cookie

Starbucks’ minimalist, festive red design on their holiday cups also caused an uproar a month ago for forgoing the usual tradition, causing backlash from several evangelical Christians. Starbucks hasn’t even sold the polar bear cookies in years, reports BuzzFeed.

A lot of people were very upset about the apparent lack of Christmas cheer on this year’s cup. However, some of the social media users think the scarves look like blood dripping from the polar bear’s neck, but the irony comes from the fact that these cookies have not been sold at any Starbucks location in five years. “Starbucks is always trying to keep our cookies festive and delicious”.

The post quickly went viral, and social media users shared their horror over the grim cookies.

Maybe they’ll have more luck with Valentine’s Day. Not only have they been accused of being anti-Christmas because they chose to serve their beverages in plain red cups this year, but now they are being accused of selling bloody polar bears cookies. “That’s a holiday you don’t forget”, one user tweeted.
