‘Blowtorch’: Eastern US could hit record Christmas Eve temps
The highest record temperature for Flint was listed on December 5 in 2001 when the temperature hit a high of 70 degrees. Records began at this location in 1871, the National Weather Service said in a statement.

And while many were humbled by Justin’s gesture, it appears Kate wasn’t sold on the sentiment as the race heats up for the coveted number one spot.

Top Syrian rebel leader killed in air strike
The Syrian state news agency said Alloush was killed in the eastern Ghouta region, where Jaysh al-Islam holds sway. Critics accuse him of sectarian politics and brutal tactics similar to that of the Islamic State group.

NHS choir member and children’s doctor Katie Rogerson said it was freaky that they are up against global star Bieber.

Scientists believe that more considerable temperature rises may lead to irreversible consequences for the planet’s environment. Mr Obama admitted the agreement was not ideal but added: “Together, we’ve shown what’s possible when the world stands as one”.

Proceeds from the NHS Choir’s single will go to charities including Carers UK and Mind.

Martin Talbot, Chief Executive of the Official Charts Company, said: ‘As well as climaxing on Christmas Day for just the fourth time in history, this year’s race for the festive Number One is looking like one of the closest ever. “It’s Christmas. @Choir_NHS good luck”.

It was the latest set back for the once-dominant show, which was trounced by BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing in the TV ratings and has seen its traditional Christmas chart dominance destroyed this year.

Part of the reason for this is the influence of the X Factor – the popular singing contest (supposedly) has dominated the airwaves and all media talking points for over a decade now and the timely concluding just before Christmas week culminates in it’s crowned releasing their debut single, which of course then shoots to number 1 easily, and this formula has guaranteed them the number 1 in nearly every case.

This year’s X Factor champion Louisa Johnson’s Bob Dylan cover Forever Young entered the charts last week at No 9, selling just 39,000 copies.

The choir tweeted its thanks to Bieber for his support, saying “Next time you’re in the United Kingdom, we should have a singalong together”.
