Why Justin Bieber’s urging United Kingdom fans to buy a rival single
Once discovering it was his single stopping the NHS Choir from taking the No. 1 spot, Justin got involved. You should purchase the only from iTunes, Amazon, Google Play or 7 Digital by clicking right here.

And while many were humbled by Justin’s gesture, it appears Kate wasn’t sold on the sentiment as the race heats up for the coveted number one spot.
NHS choir member and children’s doctor Katie Rogerson said it was freaky that they are up against global star Bieber.
Proceeds from the NHS Choir’s single will go to charities including Carers UK and Mind.
Martin Talbot, Chief Executive of the Official Charts Company, said: ‘As well as climaxing on Christmas Day for just the fourth time in history, this year’s race for the festive Number One is looking like one of the closest ever. “It’s Christmas. @Choir_NHS good luck”.
It was the latest set back for the once-dominant show, which was trounced by BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing in the TV ratings and has seen its traditional Christmas chart dominance destroyed this year.
Part of the reason for this is the influence of the X Factor – the popular singing contest (supposedly) has dominated the airwaves and all media talking points for over a decade now and the timely concluding just before Christmas week culminates in it’s crowned releasing their debut single, which of course then shoots to number 1 easily, and this formula has guaranteed them the number 1 in nearly every case.
This year’s X Factor champion Louisa Johnson’s Bob Dylan cover Forever Young entered the charts last week at No 9, selling just 39,000 copies.
The choir tweeted its thanks to Bieber for his support, saying “Next time you’re in the United Kingdom, we should have a singalong together”.

Sales will continue to be counted until midnight on Christmas Eve, with the result announced by 1pm on Christmas Day.
