He then turned the question to Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton, saying she lied about the Benghazi affair, and suggesting the media wasn’t giving her the same scrutiny.
Florida senator Marco Rubio released his Republican Party-issued credit card statements to the press.
The group has taken swipes at Rubios use of a Republican Party credit card and his record in the Florida Legislature.
Reports from The New Yorker, National Review, The Washington Post, The Tampa Bay Times and many others have all confirmed that Rubio played an essential role as the salesman for Barack Obama’s immigration bill.
Former Republican Party of Florida chairman Carole Jean Jordan said Tuesday it was never her job to question personal expenses charged by Marco Rubio when he used a party American Express card as a state lawmaker.
The Hill notes the attacks are a shift from previous months, when the focus was trained on former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.
At first glance the distance from Tea Party darling to favored candidate of the Republican establishment looks like a long way, but the ease with which Mr. Rubio has made this transition reveals quite a bit about what is really happening in today’s Republican Party. The other two attack ads on the main page describe how several of the Republican candidates including Rubio, Bush and Carson are wrong for senior citizens and for ending gun violence.
But Rubio increasingly appears to be in his own category.
In an interview with Sean Hannity, Rubio declared, “Now the majority position in our party is it should stop at just a work permit…”

“We already knew that all Marco Rubio’s policy agenda consists of is pursuing failed, conservative policies that hurt women and families”, Marcy Stech, communications director for the group, wrote in an email to reporters, The Hill reports. A strong Jeb Bush candidacy would have preempted Mr. Rubio (like Mr. Bush a conservative Floridian) from emerging as a strong candidate. The Senate also ignored the list of almost two-dozen changes Mr. Rubio’s office floated ahead of the debate in a three-page document created to point out potential flaws and solutions to the bill. “I can’t respond to everything he says, I wouldn’t be able to run a campaign”, Macro Rubio said at a press conference last week.
