Why the ‘Deadpool’ Trailer Was the Best Received at Comic-Con

Whether you’re a comic book nerd, a sci-fi geek or just a fan of awesome movies, there’s something for everybody.

But OH NO. There’s still more bombs to be dropped from the annual, sprawling mecca of all things pop culture/comic/cultish.

X-Men: Apocalypse got a huge showing at Comic-Con.

With an attitude like that, it’s unsurprising that the Hall H audience demanded a second screening by stamping its collective feet and chanting.

“I think it’s awesome that comic books would want to take a team like the X-Men and run with them”, said Comic Con attendee Bryan Fitz. The traditional thinking, of course, is that an R rating would drive away younger fans and while “Watchmen” is most likely a far different movie than “Deadpool”, the film, the most recent superhero movie to get an R, was not a financial success.

Tatum posed alongside Stan Lee, who was an equally welcomed surprise, and the casts of X-Men: Apocalypse, Deadpool, Fantastic Four, and Hugh Jackman, who re-confirmed the next Wolverine film will indeed be his last. Also, included is a quick look at the new romantic film that will feature the story of the Obamas’ first date. However, he stressed that the character who make the biggest impression will be the titular character, immortal mutant Apocalypse played by Oscar Isaac, Yahoo Parenting has learned.

Cast members James McAvoy (Professor X), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique) and Nicholas Hoult (Beast) are also returning for ‘Apocalypse.’ Other cast members include Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Rose Byrne as Doctor Moira, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Lana Condor as Jubilee and Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler. I’m not even exaggerating, we wept in Simi Valley California in some warehouse where some guy makes all these insane suits and had this one under a spotlight. “You think I can just do cameos”. Due out next month, The Fantastic Four is a reboot starring Miles Teller, Michael B.

The best part of that conversation though came when I asked Ryan what his immediate reaction was to seeing the actual costume, done and ready to be worn. The upcoming superhero flick is slated to open in cinemas on February 12, 2016.

“It’s cool that we’ll get to see another incarnation”, Raimi said in an interview Saturday at Comic-Con.
