Why won’t Apple tell us iPhone 7 pre-order numbers?

In a statement released Thursday, Apple anticipates it will sell out of the iPhone 7 when pre-orders become available at 12:01 a.m. PT on Friday.

What’s more, Apple’s new AirPods are not the only compatible headphones that can be worn with the iPhone 7 devices.

Apple unveiled its iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus Wednesday, taking the bold move of removing the headphone jack on the devices and launching new wireless AirPods.

So yes, there is that.

The AirPods are created to give a better listening experience and boast access to Siri, according to Apple. Firstly, for all those of you who have been waiting patiently (or not so patiently) for the newest iPhone, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus are finally here. The market has changed. It is believed that Apple will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the iPhone (which happens to be next year) with a massive redesign and a brand new body that will use a glass surface.

This shift in strategy on iPhone sales marks the second time Apple has held back some numbers in recent years. The iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus and iPhone SE are still around though, if you’d prefer having a headphone jack and aren’t that keen on dual cameras. The world’s most valuable company is banking on the new lineup, in addition to new wireless AirPods headphones and water resistant Apple Watch models, to avoid a holiday quarter year-over-year sales drop.

Now if you have made up your mind to buy the iPhone7 you would certainly want to guard it well if not with life!

Assuming that condition is met – and you still have your phone to trade in – you can make the exchange at a nearby Apple Store. And yes, it’s not cheap because Apple doesn’t do cheap.

We now know that we’re stuck with number 4. The company is also launching a set of wireless “AirPods” (EarPods with no physical connector) in October, but they will cost £159. Today, Belkin creates a solution for that problem with the all new “Lightning Audio + Charge RockStar” adapter.
