Why Would Hillary Clinton Pick a Female Running Mate?
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will have women included in her shortlist for a vice presidential pick.

The Clinton campaign says Chelsea Clinton will also “talk about how her mom is the best candidate to tackle the epidemic of gun violence in communities across America”. “But there is no question that there will be women on that list”, he told The Boston Globe.
Hillary Clinton accused gunmakers and the gun lobby on Thursday of using its money and power to coerce members of Congress to do their bidding, as she promised to work for new gun-control measures if elected president.
True. And also true that Democrats have surprisingly few women prominent enough nationally for Clinton to seriously consider them for the national ticket.
Senior fellow John Hudak of the Brookings Institute and analyst Geoffrey Skelley of the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics offered speculation of a potential Clinton running mate to ABC News.
“Sanders has energized. Having Warren on the ticket could help Clinton stitch the party back together after a divisive primary”.
Before Sanders made a decision to jump into the presidential race and represent the left-wing of the Democratic party, hoards of progressive Democrats were begging the liberal Warren to jump in. “They can’t handle one woman on the ticket”.
That makes the Democratic veepstakes question more pressing and perhaps the second most interesting Washington parlor game after the drama over who the Republicans will place at the top of their ticket.
Ornstein said the next round of primaries, on April 26, which include Maryland, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and DE as well as CT, are key to Clinton to stop Sanders’ momentum and to keep him from catching up with her in the pledged delegate count. Elizabeth Warren or N.Y. Sen.
Dannel P. Malloy, a pledged superdelegate for Clinton who traveled to New Hampshire and Iowa to campaign for the former first lady.
There is only one scenario I can see where Clinton picks Warren: If she feels as though she has to. Numerous same activists at the Sanders rally said that even if they don’t like or trust Clinton, they prefer her to a Republican. Aside from Warren, the names you regularly hear are Sens.

When the 68-year-old won the New York Primary Tuesday night, she dedicated the final portion of her speech to Erica. She said common-sense gun control can be achieved without infringing on the Second Amendment and with the support of gun owners.
