India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and West Indies skipper Carlos Brathwaite differed in their opinion about the quality of the ground at Central Broward Regional Park after the second T20 worldwide was called off due to wet outfield.

The India and West Indies will continue to entertain the people of America when they will face each other on August 28 for the second T20 game at central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill, Florida.

Indian opening batsman KL Rahul, who struck his maiden T20 global ton in the opening match against West Indies, has expressed his disappointment to be on the losing side, but added that he was happy with the way the team approached the innings here at the Central Broward Regional Park in Launderhill, Florida.

Two overs and 22 runs later, the West Indies were six down with Ashwin having Kieron Pollard lbw for 13 and Bumrah clean bowling Andre Fletcher for three.

“I was very happy how we brought down the opposition when it came to the last eight overs and that really matters because that was something we have been struggling consistently”, Dhoni said.

Lewis nearly managed another first, when hitting five sixes off the first five balls of the 11th over off the bowling of Stuart Binny, only to have to settle for a single off the final ball.

It remains to be seen if one will see some insane batting like yesterday, where 32 sixes were hit. Mohammad Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravi Ashwin picked two wickets each while Bhuvneshwar Kumar chipped in with a wicket.

However, Amit Mishra pulled the strings back after he dismissed Johnson Charles on the first ball of the sixth over. Only once have more runs been scored in an over in T20Is, when Yuvraj Singh slammed six sixes off Stuart Broad in the 2007 World T20.

The Indian skipper also lauded KL Rahul, who contributed a significant quick-fire knock of 110 runs. The duo steered West Indies past the 100 mark by the eighth over.

Lewis also hit the fifth fastest hundred as he reached the milestone in just 48 balls.

248 Runs scored in the first ten overs by both teams in the match – West Indies scored 132 to India’s 116.
