The city’s police chief and mayor have both said that the footage is likely to be released at some point.

As Scott’s wife records, police are heard yelling “Drop the gun!”
The video, captured by Rakeyia Scott on her cell phone, was published Friday by NBC News and the New York Times, which obtained the video from attorneys representing the Scott family.
His family says he was holding a book. (Charlotte rolled out body cameras previous year, but in the first eight months only one in four fatal Charlotte police shootings have been caught on body cam).
Meanwhile, Keith’s wife continued to beg the police officers to not hurt her husband.
Attorney Justin Bamberg told the Charlotte Observer that it was hard to see whether Scott was holding anything, but noted that his hands were by his side and “he was slowly walking backwards” when shot on Tuesday. “He’d better live, because he didn’t do nothing to them”.
“You know, camera angles and everything mean a lot and there are a lot other circumstances involved in other situations”. Meanwhile, his wife pleads with officers not to shoot her husband. It’s unclear from the video whether or not he had a weapon. These are the police officers who shot my husband, and he better live.
McCrory was speaking at a news conference in Raleigh N.C. Friday, addressing the protests as well as the recent floods in the state when he made the remarks.
This differed from his message a day earlier, when he said the public shouldn’t expect the videos’ release.
Law enforcement officials have shown the family two recordings-one by a dashboard camera, another by a body camera.
They chanted “release the video” as they marched.
Demonstrators in Charlotte’s business district on Thursday chanted “release the tape” and “we want the tape”. Local officers’ ranks were augmented by Guard members carrying rifles and guarding office buildings against the threat of property damage. Police Capt. Mike Campagna told reporters that officers would not seek to arrest curfew violators as long as they were peaceful.
The victim’s family, along with many in Charlotte, dispute the police assertion that Mr Scott was armed with a handgun. I’m going to record, though. He better be alive because.I come You better be alive.
Police said an officer shot Scott after he failed to heed commands to drop a gun.
Police have already said a pistol was recovered at the scene.
